Failures & Revisions

Status · Published

Failure is part of the public research record. It is not rewritten as inevitable progress, and later success does not retroactively prove the original theory.

Current failure record

  • Seeing Loop trials exposed descriptor ambiguity, collision constraints, and a same-operator confound.
  • Review systems remain limited by source access and can repeat the assumptions of the material they review.
  • Deterministic gates test declared rules; they do not provide general proof of correctness.
  • Show Director fixture audio proves production-state behavior, not perceptual performance quality.
  • Alexandria demonstrates governance and archive integrity; psychological usefulness remains unproven.
  • AI-assisted production still depends on human correction, listening, approval, and final judgment.

Prediction and revision records

Ongoing scorecard

Predictions, Receipts, and Commentary

Evidence: A continuing audit of published AI predictions, the receipts that support or weaken them, corrections, reversals, and unresolved claims.

Boundary: The scorecard does not force a verdict where the record remains incomplete.

Revision rule

When evidence changes a conclusion, the new position should supersede rather than erase the earlier record. The failure, correction, reason, and next bounded question remain inspectable.
