Original question

Can human creative decisions become authoritative production objects whose downstream consequences are preserved and explainable?

Original need

Creative production needed a reliable boundary between discussion, proposal, accepted direction, provider execution, and approved output.

Hypothesis or working theory

If explicit human acceptance creates the authoritative decision, dependency hashes and stale-state rules can preserve the consequences of revision without erasing earlier work.

What was attempted

A bounded Newton scenario moved from “Newton is bitter” to the accepted revision “Newton is exhausted, not bitter.”

What was built

A conversation-to-production Decision Engine connected discussion items, proposals, acceptance, supersession, semantic dependency hashes, stale artifacts, comparison, and fixture takes.

What was demonstrated

  • Proposals remain non-authoritative before acceptance.
  • Explicit human acceptance creates production state.
  • Revised acceptance supersedes rather than deletes.
  • Semantic dependency hashes change.
  • Dependent artifacts become stale for a field-specific reason.
  • Old and current decisions and artifacts remain available for comparison.
  • Deterministic fixture WAVs were produced.
  • Provider-specific payloads remain outside authoritative decisions.

What was not demonstrated

The proof demonstrates production-state behavior. It does not prove automated artistic direction, perceptual performance quality, or that AI can replace a director.

Failures or limitations

The audio proof used deterministic fixtures. Browser playback comparison is not yet part of one automated UI test, and real performance quality still requires human listening.

Next question

Can both preserved takes be connected to browser comparison and played in one automated UI test?
